ASTU Guwahati Job Information Details
1. Post Name: Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
- No. of vacancy: 01 (One)
- Qualification: The applicant should be a graduate, preferably in Computer Engineering/ Information Technology.
- Experience: Must have experience of working in the university environment. Working experience of MS-Office and usage of online tools is essential requirement. Exposure to management of networking environment in a typical university system, university level ERP, library management software, financial accounting software like Tally, and handling computerization of exam related issues would be addred advantage.
- Other: Knowledge of Assamese language is a requirement. Working knowledge of Hindi and English is desirable.
- Remuneration: Rs.12000/- consolidated per month.
- Age: Maximum age is 35 years as on 01/01/2023.
2. Post Name: Registrar
- No. of vacancy: 01 (UR)
- Qualification: (i) A Masters degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the seven-point scale, and, (ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience of which eight years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
- Desirable: (i) Very good drafting skill (ii) Experience and knowledge of financial and Human Resource management. (iii) Demonstrated performance for resource mobilization. (iv) Experience in handling legal matters. (v) Information Technology (IT) skills including working knowledge of ERP, handling communication through database etc. (vi) Ph.D. degree.
- Pay Scale: Pay level-14 (Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200/-) + other allowances as admissible by Govt of Assam.
3. Post Name: Controller of Examination (CoE)
- No. of vacancy: 01 (UR)
- Qualification: (i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade in the seven-point scale, and, (ii) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience of which eight years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

- Qualification: The applicant must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidate must have adequate Computer Knowledge and exposure in Windows and MS Office environment having fluency in English writing and speaking. Knowledge of Assamese language is desirable.
- Desirable: (i) Working knowledge in ERP. (ii) Knowledge in Computer literacy like MS Word/Excel/Financial Software-Tally/Internet etc.
- Scale of Pay: Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.8,000/- (as per Govt. of Assam 7th pay scale).
- Age: Upper age limit 45 years.
