NESFB Guwahati Vacancy 2021 Details

1. Head-Legal

No. of Post: 01 (One)

Qualification: Graduation in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university. Must have registered with Bar Council of India as an Advocate. 

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant field.

Job Description: 

•Provide professional legal advice, legal leadership, strategy and risk management and develop robust systems and processes for all NESFB operations and all areas of the business in collaboration with the external empaneled advocates for ensuring that all NESFB operations comply with the statutes and applicable laws of the country.

•Lead, oversee, and guide the Bank on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to legal regulatory, government affairs, employment issues, corporate issues, contracting.

•Identify areas of drafting and vetting of all sorts of legal documents like loan documents, applications, policies and processes, and documents as may be requested by various departments. Drafting and vetting of Non-Disclosure (NDA) Agreements, specific deal, or transaction documents etc. and agreements on various issues involving law in order to mitigate the chances of litigation and safeguarding the bank's interest.

•Take the lead on litigation and deal with enforcement agencies like police and ensure that the interest of the Bank is protected.

•Defend the Bank in various courts and court proceedings through empaneled lawyers, and advise them to defend the interest of the Bank from time to time.

•Prepare and finalize the Legal Notices or the replies, written statements/replies, suits, applications, evidence, affidavits etc. to be submitted in respective Courts or Forums.

•Lead the initiatives of domestic inquiries and complete within stipulated timeframe to be compliant with all labour laws and other statutory provisions applicable to bank.

•Identify and assess emerging changes in legislative & regulatory landscape impacting business and take corrective action including creation of new processes and systems.

•Prepare MIS to keep senior management updated of critical legal issues.

2. Asst. Manager/Manager (Legal)

No. of Post: 01 (One)

Qualification: Graduation in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university. Must have registered with Bar Council of India as an Advocate.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in relevant field.

Job Description: 

•Assist Head-Legal in overseeing and guiding the Bank on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to legal regulatory, government affairs, employment issues, corporate issues, contracting.

•Assisting and taking lead on litigation and deal with enforcement agencies like police and ensure that the interest of the Bank is protected.

•Prepare and finalize the Legal Notices or the replies, written statements/replies, suits, applications, evidence, affidavits etc. to be submitted in respective Courts or Forums.

•Assisting and leading the initiatives of domestic inquiries and complete within stipulated timeframe to be compliant with all labour laws and other statutory provisions applicable to bank.

•Highest ethical standards, promote ethical behavior and high professional integrity.
