The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has released the CRPF Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 notification for meritorious sportspersons. The recruitment is for 521 Head Constable (General Duty) and Constable (General Duty) posts under the Sports Quota.
Eligible male and female Indian citizens can apply online through the official CRPF recruitment website. The online application process will start on 12 October 2026 and the last date to apply is 11 November 2026.
The recruitment covers various sports disciplines, including Athletics, Aquatics, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Shooting, Wrestling, Volleyball, Weightlifting, Wushu and others.

Eligibility Criteria
Head Constable (GD)
Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University recognized by the Central or State Government.
Candidates must also meet the prescribed sports achievement criteria. Eligible achievements include participation or medals at recognized International Competitions, National Games/Championships, Inter-University competitions and specified Junior National-level competitions.
Constable (GD)
Candidates should have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Candidates must also possess the required sports achievements specified by CRPF for the concerned sports discipline.
Important: Sports achievements/certificates must fall within the prescribed period mentioned in the recruitment notification. Candidates must possess all required certificates by the last date of application.
Age Limit
The prescribed age limit is 18 to 23 years as on 1 August 2026.
Age relaxation is available to eligible categories as per CRPF recruitment rules. The notification provides relaxation for OBC (NCL), SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and certain departmental candidates.

Selection Process
The CRPF Sports Quota selection process includes the following stages:
- Identity Check and Biometric Verification
- Document Verification
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Sports Trial Test
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
- Review Medical Examination (where applicable)
Candidates who qualify the document verification will proceed to the Physical Standard Test. Candidates qualifying in the PST will appear for the Sports Trial Test.
The sports achievement marks are used for preparing the final merit list, while no marks are awarded for the Sports Trial Test.
Physical Standards
Height
- Male: 170 cm
- Female: 157 cm
Relaxed height standards are available for certain categories, including candidates from the North-Eastern States.
Chest
For male candidates:
- Un-expanded: 80 cm
- Minimum expansion: 5 cm
Relaxation is available for certain categories as prescribed in the recruitment notification.
