UPSC CDS Exam 2025 Details


1. Indian Military Academy (IMA)

  • No. of posts: 100
  • Qualification: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Age limit: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2002 and not later than 1st January 2007 only are eligible.
2. Indian Naval Academy (INA)

  • No. of posts: 32
  • Qualification: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
  • Age limit: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2007 only are eligible.
3. Air Force Academy (AFA)

  • No. of posts: 32
  • Qualification: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
  • Age limit: 20 to 24 years as on 1st January 2026 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2006 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1st January 2006 only are eligible.
4. Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Madras)

  • No. of posts: 293
  • Qualification: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
  • Age limit: (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 2001 and not later than 1st January, 2007.

Application Fee of UPSC CDS Exam 2025


Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card.

How to Apply for UPSC CDS Exam 2025?


# Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed to filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in a lifetime. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway to filling up the online application for the examination.
 
# Candidate should also have details of one photo ID, viz. Aadhar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/ Driving License/School Photo ID/Any other photo ID card issued by the State/Central Government. The details of this photo ID will have to be provided by the candidate while filling out the online application form. The same photo ID card will also have to be uploaded with the online application form. This photo ID will be used for all future reference, and the candidate is advised to carry this ID while appearing for examination/SSB.

# The Online Applications can be filled upto 31st December, 2024 till 6:00 PM.

Modification in application form (other than registration profile): The Commission has also decided to extend the facility of making correction(s) in any field(s) of the application form for this examination from the next day of the closure of the application window of this examination. This window will remain open for 7 days from the date of opening of the same, i.e., from 01.01.2025 to 07.01.2025. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in his/her registration profile during this period, then he/she should log in to the registration platform and do the needful accordingly. In other words, no change in the registration profile can be made by visiting the window for modification in the application form.
