AFCAT Recruitment 2024
Indian Air Force (IAF) as Commissioned Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. IAF has issued an official advertisement announcement for the recruitment of 304 Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT)-02/2024/NCC Special Entry for courses commencing in July 2025. All the details related to the AFCAT Recruitment 2024 are given below.

Qualification for AFCAT Recruitment
1. AFCAT Entry (Flying):
Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 60% marks each in Math’s and Physics at 10+2 level and (a) Graduation with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR (b) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. OR (c) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
2. AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty (Technical)):
(i) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognized University OR cleared Sections A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ii) Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) {AE (M)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology from recognised University OR cleared Sections A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
3. AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty (Non-Technical)):
(aa) Administration: Passed 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ab) Accounts Branch: Passed 10+2 and done graduation in any of the following streams with 60 % marks or equivalent from a recognized university: -
(aaa) B. Com Degree (Min three years course).
(aab) Bachelor of Business Administration (with specialization in Finance)/Bachelor of Management Studies (with specialization in Finance)/Bachelor of Business Studies (with specialization in Finance).
(aac) Qualified CA/CMA/CS/CFA.
(aad) B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.
4. NCC Special Entry (Flying):
NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate acquired on or after 01 Dec 17. Minimum of 60% marks each in Math’s and Physics at 10+2. Graduates with minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Allowances: In addition to pay, allowances are applicable based on the nature of duty/place of posting and it included Flying, Transport, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance, etc.
Insurance: Rs.1.10 crore Insurance Cover (on contribution) is applicable to service officer from Air Force Group Insurance Society (AFGIS).
Age limit for AFCAT Recruitment
1. Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2025 i.e. born between 02 July 2001 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
2. Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2025 i.e. born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Exam Fee of AFCAT
Online testing will be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centre's. Candidates registering for AFCAT will have to pay an amount of Rs. 550 + GST (non-refundable) as an examination fee. However, candidates registering for NCC Special Entry are not required to pay.

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can apply through the Indian Air Force (IAF) official website. Candidates must include all of the necessary information, including scanned copies of their testimonials, with their application form. 1. Scroll down to the Important Links section.
2. Click on the Online Application link.
3. Your browser will now open a new tab with an official web portal.
4. In that portal, you will be able to register yourself.
5. If you have not already registered, go through the registration process.
6. Now, log in using your registered email address and password.
7. Click on Current Opportunities.
8. Select the Indian Air Force (IAF) option.
9. Fill in all of the requested information carefully.
10. Before clicking the submit button, make sure all of the information is correct.
11. Now, upload all of the necessary documents in the specified file types and sizes.
12. After that, pay the examination fee.
13. Finally, submit your application.
14. In addition, you will receive an acknowledgment copy of your submission.
15. Keep the acknowledgement copy for future reference.
