Sikkim National Law University (SNLU) has released a recruitment notification to fill 16 vacancies for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor of Law, Registrar, Librarian, and Guest Lecturers. Eligible and interested candidates may apply via email between 21 May 2025 and 12 June 2025.

Professor	02	Ph.D. with ≥10 years’ relevant teaching/research or industry experience, ≥10 peer-reviewed/UGC papers (score ≥120) or significant professional contributions, plus UGC compliance.
Associate Professor	02	Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with ≥55% at master’s level, ≥8 years’ teaching/research (Asst. Prof. equivalent) with ≥7 peer-reviewed publications (score ≥75), evidence of curricular innovation and doctoral guidance, and UGC compliance.
Assistant Professor in Law	06	Master’s ≥55% with NET/SLET/SET clearance (or UGC-compliant Ph.D. exemption), or a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU.
Registrar	01	Master’s (≥55%, UGC 7-point scale B) with 15 years’ relevant academic or administrative experience (including specified AGP levels and Deputy Registrar service) or equivalent research/higher-ed tenure; desirable: management/engineering/law qualification and computerized admin/legal/financial expertise.
Librarian	01	Masters in Library/Information/ Documentation Science (≥55%), Ph.D. in the field, ≥10 years’ librarian or teaching experience, and demonstrated ICT-integrated library innovation.
Guest Lecturer English	01	Master’s (≥55% or equivalent) in the relevant subject, NET/SLET/SET qualified preferred, with pre-11 July 2009 Ph.D. holders exempt from NET/SLET/SET if their Ph.D. met UGC-mandated criteria (regular mode, two external evaluators, open viva, ≥2 Ph.D. publications, ≥2 conference papers) certified by the university.
Guest Lecturer Political Science	01	Master’s (≥55%), NET/SLET/SET qualified preferred; pre-11 July 2009 Ph.D. exempt if regular mode with two external evaluations, open viva, ≥2 Ph.D. publications (one refereed), ≥2 conference papers, certified by the Registrar/Dean.
Guest Lecturer Sociology	01	Master’s (≥55%), NET/SLET/SET qualified preferred; pre-11 July 2009 Ph.D. exempt if in regular mode with two external evaluations, open viva, ≥2 Ph.D. publications (≥1 refereed), ≥2 conference papers, certified by the Registrar/Dean.
Guest Lecturer Economics	01	Master’s (≥55%), NET/SLET/SET qualified preferred; pre-11 July 2009 Ph.D. exempt if regular mode with two external evaluations, open viva, ≥2 Ph.D. publications (≥1 refereed), ≥2 conference papers, certified by Registrar/Dean.
