Sikkim National Law University (SNLU) has released a recruitment notification to fill 16 vacancies for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor of Law, Registrar, Librarian, and Guest Lecturers. Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with ≥55% at master’s level, ≥8 years’ teaching/research (Asst. Prof. equivalent) with ≥7 peer-reviewed publications (score ≥75), evidence of curricular innovation and doctoral guidance, and UGC compliance.

Assistant Professor in Law

Master’s ≥55% with NET/SLET/SET clearance (or UGC-compliant Ph.D. exemption), or a Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked in the top 500 by QS, THE, or ARWU.

Registrar

Master’s (≥55%, UGC 7-point scale B) with 15 years’ relevant academic or administrative experience (including specified AGP levels and Deputy Registrar service) or equivalent research/higher-ed tenure; desirable: management/engineering/law qualification and computerized admin/legal/financial expertise.

Librarian

Masters in Library/Information/ Documentation Science (≥55%), Ph.D. in the field, ≥10 years’ librarian or teaching experience, and demonstrated ICT-integrated library innovation.

Guest Lecturer English

Master’s (≥55% or equivalent) in the relevant subject, NET/SLET/SET qualified preferred, with pre-11 July 2009 Ph.D. holders exempt from NET/SLET/SET if their Ph.D. met UGC-mandated criteria (regular mode, two external evaluators, open viva, ≥2 Ph.D. publications, ≥2 conference papers) certified by the university.

Guest Lecturer Political Science
