Women & Child Development Department (WCDD), Government of Sikkim has released an official notification for the recruitment of 57 temporary posts in various scheme under Mission Shakti. All the details related to the WCDD Sikkim Recruitment 2025 are given below.
WCDD Sikkim Recruitment Details
1. Case Worker
- No. of posts: 03 (Three)
- Qualification: Graduate in Law/Social Work/Sociology/Social Science/Psychology.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience of working on women related relevant domains in a government or Non-Government project/programme.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000-/- per month.
2. Para Medical Personnel
- No. of posts: 06 (Six)
- Qualification: Diploma in paramedics with a background in health sector and preferably.
- Experience: At least 2 years’ experience of working within a government or non-government health project/programme at the district level.
- Remuneration: Rs.20,000/- per month.
3. Psycho-social Counselors
- No. of posts: 06 (Six)
- Qualification: Professional degree/diploma in psychology/psychiatry/neurosciences with a background in health sector and preferably.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience of working with a government or non-government health project/programme at the district level.
- Remuneration: Rs.17,000/- per month.
4. IT Staff/Office Assistant
- Qualification: Graduate with at least diploma in computer/IT etc.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in data management, process documentation and web-based reporting formats, video conferencing at state or district level with government or non-governmental/IT-based organizations.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000/- per month.
5. Multi-purpose Staff/Cook/Helper
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: High School pass or equivalent will be preferred.
- Remuneration: Rs.12,000/- per month.
6. Security Guard/Night Guard
- No. of posts: 11 (Eleven)
- Eligibility: Outsourced/Deployed home guard from Home Guard Office.
- Remuneration: Rs.10,000/- per month.
7. Office Assistant
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: The services could be outsourced to any person who is a graduate with at least diploma in computers/IT etc.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in data management, process documentation and web-based reporting formats, video conferencing at state or district level with government or non-governmental/IT based organizations.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000/- per month.
8. District Mission Coordinator
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: Graduate preferably in Social Sciences/Life Sciences/Nutrition/Medicine/Health management/Social work/Rural management.
- Experience: At least 3 years experience of working with the government/non-government organizations in related domain.
- Remuneration: Rs.25,000/- per month.
9. Gender Specialist
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Qualification: Graduate in social work/other special disciplines. Post-graduates will be preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years experience of working with the government/non-government organizations in gender focused themes.
- Remuneration: Rs.20,000/- per month.
10. Specialist in Financial Literacy
- No. of posts: 05 (Five)
- Qualification: Graduate in Economics/Banking/other similar disciplines. Postgraduates will be preferred.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience of working with the government/non-government organizations in financial literacy/financial inclusion focused themes.
- Remuneration: Rs.20,000/- per month.
11. Accounts Assistant
- No. of posts: 04 (Four)
- Qualification: Graduate/diploma in accounts/other disciplines having accounts as a subject.
- Experience: At least 3 years’ experience of working with the government/non-government organizations in related domain.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000/- per month.
12. DEO for PMMVY Work
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: Graduate with working knowledge in computers/IT etc.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in data management, process documentation and web-based reporting formats, at state or district level with government or non-governmental/IT-based organizations.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000/- per month.
13. Sakhi Niwas Manager
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: Graduate in Social Work/Psychology/Sociology.
- Experience: 3 years supervisory experience in running of such hostels. The Manager must live at the hostel and provide overall supervision to ensure smooth functioning of the hostel.
- Remuneration: Rs.15,000/- per month.
14. Caretaker
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Qualification: Higher Secondary/10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
- Experience: 2 years experience as Caretaker of Building and Supervision of work of Multi-Tasking Staff or equivalent staff.
- Remuneration: Rs.12,000/- per month.
15. Security Guard/Night Guard
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Eligibility: Outsourced/Deployed home guard from Home Guard Office.
- Remuneration: Rs.10,000/- per month.
16. Creche Worker
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: Minimum qualification should be Class XII Pass (Intermediate).
- Remuneration: Rs.6,500/- per month.
17. Creche Helpers
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Qualification: Minimum qualification should be Class X Pass (Matriculation).
- Remuneration: Rs.3,250/- per month.
Important Dates
- Date of Notification: 06.02.2025.
- Start Date to Apply Offline: 06.02.2025.
- Closing Date for Apply Offline: 24.02.2025.
Procedure to Apply
Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may applying in the prescribed application form addressed to the Additional Secretary, Women & Child Development Department, along with following documents to the office of Joint Director, WCDD, Lumsey, Gangtok on or before 24th February, 2025 by 4.30 PM.
Required documents:
- Attested copies of requisite essential qualification from recognized Board/University from Class-X onwards.
- Attested copy of Sikkim Subject Certificate/Certificate of Identification from concerned Authority.
- Attested copy of valid Employment Card.
- No objection Certificate from the Secretary/Head of Department in case of any employee serving in the Government Department.
- Experience Certificate.
- One Passport size photograph.
- Original Documents should be produced on the date of interview.
- Age limit shall be as per State Government norms.
