AVS Assam Recruitment 2023: Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (AVS), Assam, has released an official advertisement notification for the recruitment of 103 Principal, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Graduate Teacher (GT) and Assistant Teacher (AT) vacancies for CBSE-affiliated English-medium Adarsha Vidyalayas (AVS) of Assam. Educational Qualification for AVS Assam
1. Principal:
(i) Master’s degree in Arts/Science/Commerce from recognized University with minimum 55% marks.
(ii) B.Ed. degree from a recognized University.
(iii) Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in any Government/Semi Government/Government recognized/Private reputed CBSE/SEBA affiliated Senior Secondary (10+2) School/College including JNV/KV.
(iv) Good communication skills in English, Hindi and local vernacular language.
(v) Good interpersonal skills, management & leadership quality, administrative ability & integrity, and computer proficiency.
2. Post Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):
(i) The candidate must possess: (a) Post Graduate Degree in Arts from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post Graduation in the respective subject and (b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
(ii) In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd. 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. However, valid degrees/ diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.
(iii) As Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE affiliated English medium secondary school, the candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
(iv) Apart from the competency in Major subject, he/she must be proficient to teach two additional subjects.
3. Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science):
(i) The candidate must be: (a) A Graduate in Arts with Major (Honours) from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks and (b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
(ii) In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd. 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. However, valid degrees/ diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.
(iii) As Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE affiliated English medium secondary school the candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent Examination with English as the medium of instruction.
(iv) Apart from the competency in Major subject, he/she needs to have expertise to teach one additional subject and one language subject (Bodo in BTR; Bengali in Barak Valley and Assamese in Brahmaputra Valley).
4. Graduate Teacher (Hindi):
(i) Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks and degree qualification with 55% marks or post Graduate degree in Arts with 55% marks with Pravin/Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks from any recognized University,
Or
BA with 55% marks and having Hindi as one of the subjects with 55% marks or post Graduate in Arts with 55% marks provided that he has passed BA with one of the subjects as Hindi with 55% marks in Hindi.
(ii) B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed. degree only for the purpose of Hindi teaching).
(iii) In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd. 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement. (5) Assistant Teacher (Arts & Science):
(i) The candidate must be: (a) A Graduate in Arts from recognized University with a minimum 55% marks and (b) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
(ii) In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE.238/2014/213, dtd: 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/certificates issued by such off-campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. How to Apply for AVS Assam Recruitment?
# The eligible candidates shall apply online in the official website of Directorate of Technical Education, Assam i.e., dte.assam.gov.in where the link for on-line application shall shortly available. No offline application shall be accepted in this regard.
# Documents uploaded as mentioned below should be coloured scanned and clear (visible) in PDF format while applying online and all documents should be self-attested.
1. Passport Sized Colour Photograph with white background.
2. HSLC Admit Card (Age Proof).
3. HSLC Mark sheet.
4. HSSLC Mark–sheet and Pass Certificate.
5. Graduation Mark–sheet and Pass Certificate (In case of candidates for the posts of Graduate Teacher (Arts and Science), Candidates shall submit all Mark–sheets (Year–wise/Semester–wise) and Pravin/ Ratna final examination mark–sheet and certificate in case of Hindi Posts.
6. Post–Graduation Mark–sheet and Pass Certificate.
7. Mark–sheet and Certificates of any other educational qualification (if available).
8. B.Ed./Parangat Mark–sheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Pass Certificate.

Selection Procedure for AVS Assam Recruitment
1. The on-line applications received shall be shortlisted through an approved third party on the basis of merit on requisite qualification. The authenticity of the supporting documents shall be duly verified, when called for document verification. If the applicants are found to have made false submissions in the on-line format, made Incomplete and improper submissions in the on-line application format, or submission without application fee shall be summarily rejected.
2. The shortlisted candidates shall be notified mentioning date, time and venue, through the aforementioned website of the DTE Assam and shall be called for verification of their original academic and other supporting documents. Applicants failing to produce original documents or supporting documents as required shall be rejected. Candidature of applicants failing to appear for document verification process as per notified schedule shall be rejected.
3. After completion of verification process of original/supporting documents, a selection list based on merit in the ratio of 1:3 (number of posts advertised: number of candidates) shall be prepared and published in the aforementioned website and such candidates shall be called for a Teaching Proficiency Test. The Teaching Proficiency Test shall be conducted through a duly constituted Panel/Board. In this test, communication skills, teaching methodology etc. of the candidates shall be tested.
4. After Teaching Proficiency Test, the District wise, position wise Merit List of selected candidates shall be prepared and accordingly the final list of selected candidates shall be uploaded in the official website dte.assam.gov.in of Directorate of Technical Education, Assam and also shall be intimated to the selected candidates through email.
