Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued an official advertisement announcement for the recruitment of 406 posts of National Defence Academy (NDA) & Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I), 2025. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online here.
UPSC NDA & NA Exam 2025 Details
1. National Defence Academy (NDA)
- No. of posts: 370 [Army: 208, Navy: 42 & Air Force: 120]
- Qualification: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- Age limit: Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2006 and not later than 01st July, 2009 are eligible.
2. Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)
- No. of posts: 37 (including 05 for female)
- Qualification: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
- Age limit: Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2006 and not later than 01st July, 2009 are eligible.

Application Fee of UPSC NDA & NA 2025
Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/female candidates/Wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India by cash, or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using internet banking of any Bank.
Note-2: The Wards of serving/ex-Junior Commissioned Officers/Non-Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks of Army and equivalent ranks in the Indian Navy/Indian Air Force are also not required to pay the prescribed fee if they are studying in Military School (formerly known as King George's School)/ Sainik School run by Sainik Schools Society.
How to Apply for UPSC NDA & NA 2025?
# Candidates are required to apply online by using the website upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed to filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in a lifetime. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway to filling up the online application for the examination.
# Candidate should also have details of one photo ID, viz. Aadhar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/ Driving License/School Photo ID/Any other photo ID card issued by the State/Central Government. The details of this photo ID will have to be provided by the candidate while filling out the online application form. The same photo ID card will also have to be uploaded with the online application form. This photo ID will be used for all future reference, and the candidate is advised to carry this ID while appearing for examination/SSB.
# The Online Applications can be filled upto 31st December, 2024 till 6:00 PM.
Modification in application form (other than registration profile): The Commission has also decided to extend the facility of making correction(s) in any field(s) of the application form for this examination from the next day of the closure of the application window of this examination. This window will remain open for 7 days from the date of opening of the same, i.e., from 01.01.2025 to 07.01.2025. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in his/her registration profile during this period, then he/she should log in to the registration platform and do the needful accordingly. In other words, no change in the registration profile can be made by visiting the window for modification in the application form.
