Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has issued two official admission notifications for the BSc Nursing and GNM courses at Assam Oil College/School of Nursing at IOCL (AOD), Digboi Refinery, for sessions 2024-25. Qualification:
1. GNM: 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks at the qualifying examination from a recognized Board.
2. B.Sc. (Nursing): Candidate must have a Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or Equivalent Examination from a recognized Board, Council, or University with English as one of the subjects and secure at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for General Category candidates, 45% for PwBD candidates, and 40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category without grace marks.
Age Limit:
# Minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as on 31.12.2024). The upper age limit is 35 years. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, and OBC candidates as per presidential directives. A certificate issued by the Board of Secondary Education for passing the Matriculation (Class-X) examination shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.
# Relaxation in upper age up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBCNCL candidates considered for reserved positions will be allowed.
Stipend & Training Details
1. GNM:
# The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for 1st year Rs. 2,500/-; 2nd year Rs. 2,700/-; and 3rd year Rs. 2,900/-.
# Additional benefits and opportunities for GNM courses:
(1) Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for themselves at AOD Hospital, and uniforms will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.
(2) After passing out of respective courses, the candidates will be engaged as compulsory for a period of one (1) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable by a maximum of two years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD). The working interns shall be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 15,250 per month for GNM at AOD Hospital and shall be paid an additional amount of Rs. 1,000 per month if they are placed at other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Limited other than at AOD Hospital. During the period while they are engaged as working interns, they shall not be provided with the accommodation facility.
2. B.Sc. (Nursing):
# The selected candidates shall be paid a consolidated stipend per month for the 1st year: Rs. 2,800/-; 2nd year: Rs. 3,000/-; 3rd year: Rs. 3,200/-; and 4th year: Rs. 3,400/-.
# Additional benefits and opportunities for the BSc (N) course: -
(1) Free hostel accommodation, medical attention for themselves at AOD Hospital, and uniforms will be provided to all selected candidates. Selected candidates will be compulsorily required to stay in the Nursing College hostel only.
(2) After passing out of respective courses, the candidates will be engaged as compulsory for a period of one (1) year as working interns at AOD Hospital or in any of the other hospitals of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. This may be extendable by a maximum of two years at the sole discretion of IOCL (AOD). How to Apply IOCL Admission 2024?
